Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease and has become the main reason patients are always rushed to hospital emergency department. Capnography new method for examining asthma by measuring CO2 levels released lungs. The aim of this research create an EtCO2 capnography device that able measure in with or difficulty breathing assist doctors determining urgency using ventilator patient. used uses sensor expensive, but study, gas type Cozir-WX-20 at low price. was conducted utilizing which reads concentration ppm value microcontroller as analog digital data processor be displayed on LCD. Sensor characterization carried out compare side-stream main-stream methods, response time readings, accuracy cozir sensor. resulting taken from cylinders medical air various flow volume values connected Cozir patient monitors monitors. readings tubes water get error 4.6%, namely 7% 70,000 above 95%. As method, reading 1.96% 1.74% 6-7%. module Response 1%-7% under 5 seconds. It hoped inexpensive can diagnostic purposes room intensive care unit quickly accurately determine avoid fatal condition.
